Understand MyShop NG

Built around how
a real shop works.

MyShop NG is both a practical business-management product and a community-powered growth programme. This page explains the complete idea: why the app exists, what happens inside it, and how promoters help shop owners adopt it successfully.

SECTION 01
About the product

From handwritten records
to a connected operation.

Many shops still depend on ledger books, loose receipts, memory and end-of-day explanations. Those methods can record parts of the business, but they rarely connect the whole picture. A sale written in a book may not reduce stock, identify the cashier, preserve a receipt, or contribute to a report the owner can use.

MyShop NG was motivated by that gap. It gives Nigerian shop owners a practical mobile system for recording the events that make up everyday trade and keeping those events connected. It is designed for the owner who needs control, the cashier who needs a clear process, and the growing business that cannot continue depending on one notebook or one person's memory.

THE WORKSPACE

What the app brings together

Each capability is useful on its own. The larger value comes from keeping them in the same operating process.

01

Products and inventory

Create a structured catalogue with product names, prices and quantities. Keep stock information beside the products being sold, monitor inventory value, identify low-stock items, and compare expected quantities with what is physically available.

02

Point of sale

Build a customer basket, select products and quantities, confirm prices and payments, complete the transaction, and retain a consistent sales record. The POS is designed to support compatible barcode-scanner integration for faster product entry where the shop needs it.

03

Cashiers and team access

Give staff their own access instead of sharing one informal process. Recorded activity can be connected to the person operating the shop, helping owners understand who handled transactions and making daily supervision more accountable.

04

Receipts, payments and refunds

Keep the important details of completed sales together, produce a transaction record for the customer, and retain visibility into refunds and payment activity instead of correcting a ledger without an explanation.

05

Reports and business insight

Review sales across selected periods, net sales, refunds, average basket value, inventory value, price changes and performance trends. The purpose is not only to store transactions, but to turn them into information an owner can act on.

06

Offline work and cloud continuity

Continue eligible day-to-day activity when internet access is unreliable and synchronise supported data when a connection becomes available. Cloud sync and backup help keep important business information from living on only one piece of paper or with one employee.

07

Multiple shops and growth

Standardise the way products, staff, sales and reports are handled as the business grows. Premium supports additional shops and larger teams, giving the owner a clearer structure than creating a separate ledger and process for every location.

08

Owner visibility and control

Bring sales, stock, staff activity and reports into one operating record. This cannot guarantee that theft or mistakes will never occur, but it creates stronger visibility that can deter unrecorded activity and help an owner investigate shortages or cash differences.

More than digital bookkeeping

The record becomes useful because it is connected.

Replacing a paper ledger is only the starting point. MyShop NG connects the person who records a sale, the products in the basket, the payment activity, the expected stock position and the reports the owner later reviews. That connection makes the history easier to understand and harder to depend on selective memory alone.

The app is built for real operating conditions. A small shop can begin with one location and a few team members, while a growing operation can adopt more structure, additional shops and broader reporting through the appropriate subscription plan.

IN PRACTICE

What this looks like on a normal business day

The owner is away

A cashier records each sale through the POS during the day. Instead of waiting for a verbal summary or reading handwritten totals at closing time, the owner has a structured history of the transactions and the staff activity recorded in the app.

Stock does not balance

The shelf count is lower than expected. The owner can compare recorded sales and expected inventory with the physical quantity, then investigate whether the difference came from a sale, an entry mistake, damage, or possible unauthorised removal.

The shop is busy

The cashier selects items in the POS—or uses a compatible scanner integration when configured—confirms the basket and records payment. The same action creates the sales record and keeps it connected to product and stock information.

It is time to restock

Rather than relying on memory, the owner reviews stock levels, low-stock information and sales patterns to decide which products need attention and where working capital should be directed.

SECTION 02
About the promoter programme

People helping businesses
move forward.

Useful technology is not always adopted because of an advertisement. Shop owners often act after someone they know explains the product, understands their concerns, and remains available when they need help. The MyShop NG Promoter Programme brings the public into that part of the company's growth.

Promoters are more than people who share links. They are ambassadors for the product: introducing it responsibly, helping referred customers understand it, and acting as a familiar first point of contact. In return, the programme gives them transparent referral tracking and an opportunity to share in the value of the customer relationships they help create.

FOR MYSHOP NGA trusted local representative who helps the product reach and support the right businesses.
FOR THE SHOP OWNERA familiar person who can explain the app and help with the first steps.

HOW PARTICIPATION WORKS

From introduction to continuing support

01

Join

Create a promoter account using the same secure profile and authentication foundation used across MyShop NG. A shop owner can also be a promoter, and a promoter can later become a shop owner without creating a conflicting identity.

02

Introduce

Share your personal referral link or code with suitable shop owners. The promoter acts as a recognisable local face of MyShop NG, explains the value of the product honestly, and helps the business understand how it fits its operations.

03

Support

The relationship does not have to end at signup. Promoters can serve as ambassadors and first-line customer-support contacts for the businesses they refer, helping them get started and directing product or account issues to MyShop NG when necessary.

04

Track

Use the promoter dashboard to see referrals, qualification status and earned amounts. Each qualified referral uses the reward rate that applied when it was earned, preserving historical earnings when programme rates change later.

05

Earn

Qualified customer relationships can generate the applicable first reward and, where enabled by the current programme terms, participation in rewards tied to subsequent subscriptions from referred customers.

06

Request payout

Save payout-account details, see the available balance and configured minimum payout, then submit a payout request. Its progress can be tracked through received, processing, paid or denied statuses.

WHAT GOOD PROMOTION MEANS

Recommend responsibly

Promoters should explain the product accurately, refer businesses that can benefit from it, and avoid promises the app or programme does not make.

A CONTINUING RELATIONSHIP

Help after the signup

The strongest promoter relationship continues through onboarding and everyday questions, with product or account matters escalated to MyShop NG when needed.

TRANSPARENT REWARDS

Know what has qualified

The dashboard separates referral activity, qualification and earnings so promoters can understand the status of the customers they introduced.
